Story: Simone Segre, a distinguished surgeon with Jewish heritage, resides in a serene northeastern Italian city. He enjoys a sophisticated lifestyle in a stylish apartment, remaining disconnected from his roots. One day, he finds himself providing aid to a hit-and-run victim. However, upon noticing a Nazi tattoo on the man’s chest, Simone decides to leave him behind. Stricken with remorse, he sets out to locate the man’s family: Marica, the oldest daughter; Marcello, a youth troubled by racial animosity; and young Paolo. Eventually, Marica arrives at Simone’s home, unknowingly seeking retribution.
