Story without spoilers

Amina has built her life around her parents and the home they share. Although her responsibilities give her a clear routine, the arrival of her cousin Azam reconnects her with a chapter of her past that has remained emotionally unsettled.

As the two relatives talk and remember the years they have lost, Amina is brought face to face with memories of her former love. The reunion gradually helps her understand what she needs in order to move forward, allowing her to accept her present with greater peace. The film frames that emotional resolution through a simple homecoming and a knock at the door.

What to expect

Shores is presented as an intimate family drama about the ties between home, memory and personal responsibility. Its premise points to a reflective story built around a reunion rather than external action, with the relationship between Amina and Azam providing the central connection to her past.

The film’s emotional focus is on unresolved history and the possibility of closure. Viewers can expect a contained, character-led narrative involving aging parents, a family home, a lost love and the gradual easing of long-standing conflict.

Movies Dock view

With its focus on a family home, an unexpected return and the emotional weight of a long-remembered relationship, Shores is positioned as a quiet drama about making peace with what came before. Its short runtime and concentrated premise suggest a story shaped around one significant reunion and its effect on Amina’s present.
