Story: Set in the year 2040, much of the Netherlands has been underwater, prompting millions to migrate to Limburg, the last bastion of hope for a life similar to what they once knew. However, in this supposed refuge, everything is meticulously orchestrated. Doctor Frank (Bruno Vanden Broecke), known as the gene doctor, assists in creating the perfect offspring with the best genetic traits. Alongside him is Alecto (Angela Schijf), an all-knowing, self-learning AI that manages every aspect of life. From daily meals to romantic relationships, Alecto is your go-to. This futuristic society ensures you can have an ideal partner precisely tailored to your desires, and even your intimate moments are enhanced in virtual settings. Yet, in a world governed by data and devoid of chance, how does one carve out their own individuality when human roles seem to diminish?
