Raven's Game: Cast, Story and Release Details

Prepared by Movies Dock Editorial

Raven's Game is a 15-minute horror short about Raven, a player whose excitement over a mysterious game turns into a frightening struggle for control. After encountering a masked figure inside EMULATE, she realizes that continuing to play may bring the threat closer to escaping the digital world.

Raven's Game centers on a familiar modern fear: what happens when a game stops behaving like a game? The 15-minute short follows Raven after she receives EMULATE, a mysterious video game that quickly develops an unsettling presence.

Its setup combines digital horror with a direct survival premise. As Raven continues playing, a masked figure delivers a message and appears to move closer to escaping the game itself, leaving her with no clear way to stop what is coming.

Story without spoilers

Raven is intrigued when she receives EMULATE and decides to try it. The experience changes after a strange encounter inside the game, where a masked figure appears to be watching her and has a message specifically for her.

The danger grows as Raven keeps playing. What begins as an unusual gaming experience becomes a threat that may cross the boundary between the digital world and reality. The central mystery is tied to the figure’s intentions and whether Raven can prevent the game from reaching its unfinished, dangerous conclusion.

What to expect

The supplied premise presents Raven's Game as a compact horror story built around a haunted or threatening video-game experience. Viewers can expect a confined setup, a mysterious masked figure, escalating digital danger and a clear tension between playing for answers and stopping before the threat advances.

With a runtime of 15 minutes, the film is structured as a short-form scare narrative rather than an extended feature-length story. Its Halloween framing and ominous tagline, “This Halloween, the game is playing you,” reinforce the reversal at the heart of the premise: Raven is no longer fully in control of the game.
