Editor’s note: A brief editor’s note on Miraculous World: Paris, Tales of Shadybug and Claw Noir (2023): Firmly a Animation, Action, Fantasy, Family, TV Movie piece, but with a personal touch. Under Thomas Astruc’s direction, the film keeps a steady rhythm and a clear sense of place. Performances (especially Anouck Hautbois, Antoine Tomé, Benjamin Bollen) give the story human stakes. The 45m runtime suits the material. Solid if imperfect—its strengths outweigh a few rough edges. Its tagline—“It only takes one decision to become a hero.”—is a fair snapshot of its intent. If the premise speaks to you, put it on your list.
