🎬 Title: Im Abgrund
Story: Some individuals do not merit a second chance. Veteran investigator Wallat firmly believes this, especially regarding child murderer Hagenow, who is released after serving 15 years yet remains a potential threat. Wallat is tasked with leading an LKA team that monitors this past offender. However, his “unofficial” job goes beyond standard protocol: Wallat must catch Hagenow in the act to ensure he returns to prison for good. Meanwhile, the ex-con finds a place to stay with the well-meaning village pastor Berkenbusch and begins working at the local sawmill. The LKA team keeps a constant watch over him. But when Wallat loses track of Hagenow during a nighttime stroll, a chilling reality sets in: the eight-year-old son of Berkenbusch’s housekeeper has vanished without a clue.
