Story without spoilers

Elliot brings her best friend Skylar along to her ex-girlfriend’s Sálon, where an unusual discussion involving a boob-shaped bowl creates an uncomfortable atmosphere. The pair retreat to the bathroom for refuge, but their escape does not go according to plan.

A tampon mishap leaves Elliot and Skylar stuck in a situation that is both messy and difficult to manage. The visit also carries the tension of old conflict between former flames, giving the short film a personal edge alongside its physical comedy.

What to expect

Gush combines comedy and thriller elements within a compact 14-minute format. Its premise centers on social discomfort, bathroom trouble and the lingering tension surrounding an ex-girlfriend, so the film is built around an escalating predicament rather than a broad, multi-location story.

The setup suggests an intentionally awkward and irreverent tone, with bodily humor and interpersonal friction working together. The confined situation gives the short a clear central pressure point while leaving room for the surrounding relationship tensions to shape the encounter.

Gracie Fojtik serves as both director and writer. The cast includes McKenna Quigley Harrington as Elliot and Ella Stoller as Skylar. Annika Burley plays Sage, Bear D’Angelo plays Jade, Lee Hubilla plays Lex, Rami Morgan plays Moll and Ryan Quigley plays Alex.
