Story without spoilers

In a village undergoing change, a young girl enters a grove that is forbidden. There, she discovers a red bloom linked to memories that have long been buried. Her seemingly quiet action begins to disturb the accepted order, bringing forgotten histories and forms of resistance into focus.

The film’s synopsis presents the village as a place where old lore and changing circumstances coexist. By combining folklore and reality, Burning Roots, Blooming Fire frames the girl’s discovery as a confrontation with what has been silenced over time.

What to expect

Viewers can expect a compact, story-led drama built around folklore, buried memory and a young protagonist’s encounter with a forbidden place. The 24-minute runtime suggests a concise presentation rather than an expansive feature-length narrative.

The premise also points to a reflective treatment of loss, survival and resistance. Its setting in a changing village gives the film a tension between inherited lore and the histories that power has pushed out of view.
