Synopsis: After relocating to the serene French countryside two years ago, where hunting is now prohibited, Adelaide and Simon find that life in nature can be both rewarding and surprisingly dull. Eager to expand their social circle, they are thrilled when Bernard’s clever and affluent son Stan, along with his sophisticated wife Bennie, move into the neighborhood. Their children are the same age, making it seem like a perfect match. However, what initially appears to be a fortunate development soon reveals itself as a hidden dilemma: Stan and Bennie are enthusiastic hunters, eager to gallop through the forest with their hounds. This leads to chaos as their ambitions clash with Adelaide and Simon’s desire for tranquility. The situation escalates into an all-out conflict as Stan begins purchasing land, bribing locals, and scheming to transform the forest into an exclusive playground for the wealthy.
