Story: Set in the winter at a deserted coastal resort, the ambiance is bleak with empty beach bars and rain-soaked paths. Carole and Richard Lazure, trapped in their apartment on the top floor of a La Grande Motte building, are at rock bottom. They’ve been conned by their financial advisor and poorly represented by a lawyer, leading to the loss of their business and home, leaving them struggling to afford even the necessities of life. The sudden reappearance of Richard’s childhood friend—an overly chatty character with a scandalous past—might just alter the course of their lives, for better or worse.
