🎬 Title: Night Portraiture
Story: “Night Portraiture” is a captivating exploration of improvised filmmaking, crafted during the early morning hours of 1:00 to 6:00 a.m. throughout various areas in New York City, including Gowanus, Kensington, and the subway system, in 2013. In a semi-dreamlike state, the artists immerse themselves in scenes inspired by the ambiance of the night, the urban environment, and the unique objects they discover. This eight-minute compilation was re-edited by the filmmakers in 2021, featuring highlights from the original “Night Portraiture.” It premiered on February 17, 2022, at MoMA during the Millennium Film Workshop’s “Nighttime” event in NYC.
