Story: At 14, Lucie is a clever teenager juggling the responsibilities of caring for her affectionate but unreliable father, William, who is battling multiple sclerosis. While William entertains himself with pranks in their wardrobe to bring a smile to Lucie’s face, she diligently manages her studies, works at a sandwich shop, and handles household chores. Her vivid imagination and her ongoing novel provide her with much-needed escapism. However, as a social worker is assigned to evaluate their situation, Lucie and William concoct an elaborate scheme to convince social services that their lives are perfectly ordinary.
