Editor’s note: A brief editor’s note on 13 Days, 13 Nights: In the Hell of Kabul (2025): It leans into its Action, War, Thriller roots without feeling derivative. Martin Bourboulon keeps the storytelling tight, favoring character beats over empty flash. Performances (especially Roschdy Zem, Lyna Khoudri, Sidse Babett Knudsen) give the story human stakes. At 1h 52m, it moves with a measured pace and rarely overstays a scene. Solid if imperfect—its strengths outweigh a few rough edges. If the premise speaks to you, put it on your list.
