Editor’s note: A brief editor’s note on Baltimore (2024): It leans into its Thriller, History, Drama roots without feeling derivative. Under Christine Molloy’s direction, the film keeps a steady rhythm and a clear sense of place. Performances (especially Imogen Poots, Jack Meade, Tom Vaughan-Lawlor) give the story human stakes. At 1h 38m, it moves with a measured pace and rarely overstays a scene. Reception is mixed; approach it for mood and atmosphere. Its tagline—“Heiress. Rebel. Revolutionary.”—is a fair snapshot of its intent. If the premise speaks to you, put it on your list.
