Editor’s note: A brief editor’s note on The Last Warrior: Root of Evil (2020): Firmly a Fantasy, Adventure, Comedy piece, but with a personal touch. Under Dmitriy Dyachenko’s direction, the film keeps a steady rhythm and a clear sense of place. Performances (especially Viktor Horinyak, Mila Syvatska, Ekaterina Vilkova) give the story human stakes. The 2h 0m runtime suits the material; scenes land without dragging. Reception is decent overall; not a game-changer, but hardly disposable. Put it on your list—especially if you’re after mood and texture.
