Absolution movie details

Story without spoilers

The film follows Lucius after a tragic accident claims the life of his pregnant partner. In the aftermath, he spirals through grief, survivor’s guilt, religious doubt and obsession. His lifelong friend, Angel, attempts to help him find a way forward, creating a story shaped by loss, companionship and the possibility of healing.

The supplied synopsis establishes the emotional conflict without revealing how Lucius’s struggle develops or where it leads. Absolution is therefore framed less as an event-driven story than as a character-focused account of one man confronting the consequences of trauma.

What to expect

Viewers can expect a serious short drama built around grief and a religious crisis. The Las Vegas setting provides the backdrop for Lucius’s emotional collapse, while the premise places the emphasis on internal conflict and the bond between Lucius and Angel.

The film’s 44-minute runtime suggests a compact treatment of its subject rather than a feature-length exploration. Its stated themes include a grief journey and questions of faith, while the central dramatic tension comes from the contrast between Lucius’s worsening fixation and his friend’s effort to help him heal.
