DESVELADO movie details

Story without spoilers

The film follows a young man who spends his nights awake in a bathtub, smoking and lying motionless in the water as he attempts to distance himself from his own thoughts. That effort proves difficult because his mind keeps returning to Ben, the man he loves.

Ben’s preference for independence creates an emotionally uncertain relationship shaped by attachment and loss. Dreamlike sequences allow the protagonist to picture a different existence, but his fears remain difficult to escape. The story is presented through an intimate, inward-looking perspective rather than a broad external plot.

What to expect

As a short drama, DESVELADO is built around mood, interior conflict and a concentrated relationship story. Its premise points to a reflective film concerned with sleeplessness, emotional distance, queer desire and the uneasy pull between intimacy and independence.

The bathtub setting and dreamlike sequences suggest a structure that places the protagonist’s thoughts and emotional state at the center. The film’s 34-minute runtime keeps its focus on this personal conflict and the bond between the protagonist and Ben.
