Rider movie details

Story without spoilers

Saluele, known as Sami, works as a food delivery rider in Milan, cycling from one side of the city to the other. On New Year’s Eve, he takes a large sushi order to a luxurious villa on the northern outskirts. The people there invite him to remain for the evening, and he meets Nia.

The two quickly develop a powerful connection, giving Sami a reason to step outside the routine of his work. However, the beginning of their romance is interrupted by an impulsive decision that has fatal consequences. Sami is then forced to consider whether he will accept responsibility for what he has done.

What to expect

Rider is presented as a drama built around a single New Year’s Eve encounter. The premise places a working delivery rider at the center of a story that moves from urban routine and romantic possibility toward danger and personal accountability.

The film’s Milan setting, Italian-language presentation and 1-hour-27-minute runtime suggest a compact, contemporary story rather than an expansive ensemble production. The supplied synopsis establishes romance, a consequential decision and the pressure of facing its aftermath, while leaving the specific events undisclosed.
