Landmarks movie

🎬 Title: Landmarks / Nuestra tierra

Story: In 2009, a man, along with two associates, attempts to forcefully evict members of the Indigenous community in Chuschagasta, located in northern Argentina. Armed and claiming to own the land, they tragically take the life of the community’s leader, Javier Chocobar. This brutal act is unfortunately captured on video. It isn’t until 2018—nine years of relentless protests later—that legal action finally begins. Throughout this period, the perpetrators remain unprosecuted. The film artfully weaves together the voices and images of the community with footage from the courtroom, delving deep into a disturbing history of colonialism and land theft that culminated in this heinous crime.
