In 1960s Brooklyn, Rose, the daughter of immigrants, seeks to prove herself in a boy’s game, leading her into a perilous situation.

Story: Set in 1968 Brooklyn, Rose, a young girl of Irish and Italian descent, strives to blend in with the boys by joining her brother and his friend in their game. However, trouble arises when the local Deacon and their building’s superintendent begins to manipulate Rose. Just as it seems all hope is lost, Mrs. Teruli, an old-world Italian healer, steps in to help free her from this torment.
